Electro-Mechanical Heat for leading edge of Aircraft Wings:
A leading Prime Contractor was looking for several small companies to come up with a solution for heating the leading edge of the wings for commercial and business aircraft. We were able to secure the R&D money internally to push this forward, and compete on this project. The first thing we did was assign an engineering team, and start with ideas, however, our guys were known as heating experts, and have been providing many solutions to other Aerospace programs that require heat.  Long story short is that we were in the top #2, and selected for a further contract. We also were able to scale the win with another major aircraft manufacturer, and use the same solution (different form factor) on their small jets. Definitely an Engineer to Engineer win.
 
Marine Corps Cougar MRAP Program-DAS:
A large Aerospace Prime contractor was looking for a solution for the Cougar MRAP DAS (Door Assist) Program.  They were having EMI issues with the motors that open the doors on egress, and get the troops out safely. We immediately took it to our engineering team, and they came up with a design, and solution over the course of a few weeks, we delivered prototypes on time, and won the program. The solution is now part of the Primes trade show booth.
